In addition to the budget votes next month, school district and libraries will also be holding elections to library boards and boards of education.
For the West Hempstead Board of Education, Pamela Lotito and Vincent Trocchia are running for re-election unopposed. Their terms are three-year terms.
For the West Hempstead Library Board, incumbent Andrea Dee Giordano, the board's vice president, is running against Madeleine E. Schwartz. The term is five years.
In Elmont, for the library board, Cheryl Lee and David Osborn are both running unopposed for five-year terms.
For the Elmont Board of Education, Deanna Doreson, the board's president, is being challenged by Dale A. Black-Pennington for a three-year term. Also, incumbent Aubrey Phillips is running unopposed.
In the Franklin Square School District, board of education member Jean Fichtl is running for re-election unopposed.
