State Senator Michael Balboni invites residents of the 7th Senate District to participate in a new online survey conducted through the Senator's website, www.senatorbalboni, com.

The survey can be found under the section titled "Your Opinion Counts" on the home page. Participants will be asked three questions relating to driving and drivers' licenses. Several bills regarding improperly licensed drivers (unlicensed, suspended, revoked) have been passed by the Senate and are under consideration by the assembly.

The results of the senator's previous online survey regarding cell phones and driving are as follows: 77 percent of respondents feel that talking on a cell phone while driving is dangerous, 13 percent do not think so; 76 percent of respondents support a statewide ban on talking on cell phones while driving unless using a hands-free device, 14 percent do not support such a ban; and 66 percent of respondents feel that given their inexperience, teenagers should be prohibited from using cell phones of any kind while driving.
