Police have arrested an Elmont man on two counts of first degree sodomy and two counts of sexual abuse second degree and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to detectives, 35-year-old Fernando Coleman of Elmont, the vice president of the Argentina Soccer School in Forest Hills, allegedly sodomized two 11-year-old boys who were members of the school.

The alleged incidents took place on two separate occasions with the last one occurring on April 14.

Although the defendant is a resident of Elmont, one of the victims is a resident of Long Beach while the other is a resident of Queens.

According to Sergeant Louis Algieri of the Nassau County Police Special Victims Squad, Coleman provided transportation to the kids for the games. "He had a van and he would take the kids," he said.

The latest alleged incident took place at Coleman's residence, according to detectives. "After the game, at that particular time, he drove back to the house. He lives with his parents but his parents were away so he took the kids to sleep over and that's when the assault occurred."

Coleman was arrested on Thursday, May 17. As of Tuesday, the defendant had not made bail and was being held at the Nassau County Jail. Bail was set at $170,000.
