Suozzi Calls for Secret Ballots for Upcoming Democratic Convention
With less than five months remaining before Glen Cove Mayor Tom Suozzi and New York State Assemblyman Tom DiNapoli face off in a primary for the Democratic nomination for Nassau County Executive, Suozzi has turned his attention toward the Democratic Convention, which is scheduled for next month. In order to assure a fair outcome, the Glen Cove Mayor announced, at a press conference on Tuesday, that he is calling for a secret ballot process for the convention.

Fourth Annual 'Walk for Education'
New York State Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA), President Joseph Cangemi, in conjunction with the New York State Grand Lodge Foundation, Inc., announced its sponsorship of the Fourth Annual "Walk for Education," which will take place at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow at Parking Field 1 (off Merrick Avenue) on Saturday, May 5. Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. The walk will kick off at 10 a.m. for the three-mile route.
