The Protestant and Roman Catholic Campus Ministries of Long Island is sponsoring their annual 10-mile Good Friday Hunger Pilgrimage on Friday, April 13.

The walk-a-thon is once again expected to draw over 400 participants and benefits the Interfaith Nutrition Network (The INN) sponsors 19 soup kitchens and four shelters on Long Island. The purpose of this pilgrimage is to commemorate the religious significance of Good Friday and to raise funds on behalf of the hungry.

The march will begin at 9 a.m. at the Hofstra University Student Center in the West Multi-Purpose Room located on the North Campus. It will exit the main gate, then proceed east to Merrick Avenue, north on Merrick Avenue to Old Country Road to Franklin Avenue, south on Franklin Avenue to Hempstead Turnpike and back to Hofstra. The walk ends at approximately 2 p.m. Immediately following the walk, there will be an Ecumenical Good Friday Service.
