The Franklin Square Public Library will be closed for renovations April 9 to May 7. This closing is necessary so that the old boiler can be removed, extensive electrical and HVAC work can be completed and the other interior renovations, part of the building expansion, can be done.

During this period, patrons may check out books with a Franklin Square Library card at other Nassau County public libraries. However, patrons may not borrow videos, brand new books, compact discs and other restricted materials as many libraries reserve the use of these materials for their own patrons.

Patrons can also access the library's web page: www.nassaulibrary.org/fsquare from your home computer and perform research using the online databases.

Materials borrowed from the Franklin Square Library that would ordinarily be due during the closing will not be due until May 16.

Representatives from the library say they are working hard on the long awaited building expansion and deeply regret any inconvenience caused during the renovations.
