  • NEWS: Alfano Calls Governor's Aid Package a Good Start

    New York State Assemblyman Tom Alfano was pleased with what he termed "a great start" for Elmont and Franklin Square in its school aid package, unveiled in Albany this past week. According to Governor George Pataki's proposal, the Franklin Square School District would receive a record breaking amount of aid to the tune of $3.86 million, a $111,000 increase from last year. The Elmont Union Free School District would realize a $225,000 increase, raising its total to $12,496,000. FULL STORY
