The DeMatteis Pavilion Ice Rink at EAB Plaza will open for public skating from Dec. 5 through March 2001 according to an announcement by Stephen Rutledge, EAB Plaza's general manager. EAB Plaza, located on Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale, is a joint venture of The DeMatteis Organization and ABN-AMRO Bank, NV.

Ice skating sessions are scheduled as follows:

* Monday-Friday - 6 -7:45 p.m.; 8:15-10 p.m.

* Saturday & Sunday - 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sessions are as follows: 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; noon-1:30 p.m.; 2-3:30 p.m.; 4-5:30 p.m.; 6-7:30 p.m.; 8-10 p.m.

*** Closed Monday, Dec. 25 - Open Tuesday Dec. 26 - Friday, Dec. 29, noon-10 p.m.

* Friday - 4-10 p.m. (Public Session)

* Saturday & Sunday - 10 a.m.-10 p.m. (Saturday); Noon-8 p.m. (Sunday)

Sessions are as follows:

10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; noon-1:30 p.m.; 2-3:30 p.m.; 4-5:30 p.m.; 6-7:30 p.m.; 8-10 p.m.

* President's Week (Feb. 19-Feb. 23) - noon-1:30 p.m.; 2-3:30 p.m.; 4-5:30 p.m.; 6-7:30 p.m.; 8-10 p.m.

The DeMatteis Pavilion Ice Rink also offers ice skate rental ($3 per session), private ice skating lessons (by appointment), daily locker rental, skate sharpening services, and a full snack bar.
