Carey High School Celebrates Homecoming
The colors of orange and black were abundant in Franklin Square on Saturday and it wasn't because Halloween is less than two weeks away. H. Frank Carey celebrated their homecoming and school spirit proved to be as bright as the sky.
A Milestone in District History
In the days prior to a bond referendum vote in March of 1999 that, if passed, would add classroom space to every elementary school in the Elmont Union Free School District, Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Maria Palandra held informational, public meetings on the referendum. The superintendent spent evenings, patiently explaining that enrollment in the district had increased and was projected to increase so that additional space was necessary.
Walk for Autism Research Oct. 21
Hundreds of North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health system employees, their families, friends and concerned individuals will join together at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow in support of the First Annual "Walk FAR for NAAR" walkathon on Saturday, Oct. 21.
