Hillary Rodham Clinton, candidate for the United States Senate from New York, came to Long Island last week to meet with local village officials and local newspaper editors at Westbury Manor. Franklin Square residents are taking the opportunity to express their support for the new WWII memorial by making contributions to help build a memorial in Washington, D.C. Donators become Charter Members of the WWII Society and can have the name of a loved one placed in the Registry of Remembrances, which will list the names of individual Americans who participated in the war effort.
