The West Hempstead High School Athletic Department announced that ninth-grade Wrestler Nick Harris has brought home the Bronze medal from the Empire State Games.

During the week of July 24 through July 31, the Empire State Games brought the top amateur athletes from all across New York state to compete in Binghamton. The Empire State Games have been held since 1978 in New York to provide the top amateur athletes in the state a chance to participate in Olympic -style competition. There are now similar games held in 40 other states across the country.
