    H. Frank Carey High School was one of the contenders on the Long Island Challenge television show recently, a game show on Channel 12 where two teams, each composed of four students from a Long Island high school, compete against one another by answering questions on various academic and cultural subjects.   • SPORTS: Carey Sports Shorts

    Both the girl's and boy's winter track teams placed 4th in the conference championships. Jen O'Driscoll placed 3rd in the 1000. Yleana Roman placed second in the high hurdles. Greg Puga was third in the 1000. Melissa Yanek won the 1500 walk in 8:03 and Tim Dand won the high jump with a new school record leap of 6'4".
