The Woman's Club of Franklin Square met and had a successful meeting and Bingo program Jan. 10. Our usual meeting place, the VFW hall on Lincoln Road, had new doors installed and they look great.

We dispensed with the reading of the minutes because our recording secretary was ill. Get well wishes to Lea Olynciw. Jo Schlosser, first vice president, volunteered to take the notes. She's always ready to help.

Jo is also our program chairperson and reported that on Feb. 14, Valentine's Day, we will have a program. Jo Wood, a travel agent and our Ways and Means chairperson, will take us on a trip to China. She was on vacation there and has many slides to show us. I am sure it will be very exciting. Jo Schlosser also would like checks to be in by next meeting for our annual St. Patrick's Day luncheon and musical program.

Thank you Phyllis Bellero who at each meeting sells chances for our Dark Horse raffle. We had four winners this meeting.

Edith Grant is preparing a trip to Atlantic City - Showboat on May 1. She hopes to get a full bus. This is a big fund raiser for us so try to sign up and perhaps bring a friend.

We sang happy birthday to our January members and adjourned for dessert.

Jo DeMarco, chairperson, and her committee, Grace Bottiglieri and Eleanore Re, took over the meeting and proceeded with the Bingo program. It was fun and eight winners went home with money prizes. Thank you, Jo, Grace and Eleanore, you did a great job.
