Young to the position of director of finance and budgeting and Arimax Financial Advisors, as chief financial advisors to the legislature. Over the recent holiday, the Elmont Memorial High School Boy's Basketball team competed in the Haggerty Memorial Basketball Tournament held in Chaminade High School. Elmont has competed in this tournament on numerous occasions along with Manhasset, Garden City and the host, Chaminade. This four team lineup consists of "power house" type basketball programs, as many basketball championships hang in each school's respective gymnasiums. FULL STORY

The Winter Recreation Program is in full swing at Valley Steam Central, North and South High Schools and Memorial Junior High, where the gyms are open on weekends (but not during school vacations) for the use of Valley Stream High School District students.
