The Woman's Club of Franklin Square met on Dec. 13 at the VFW Hall on Lincoln Road. We had a moment of silence and prayer in memory of one of our honorary life members, Marge Gollatz. She passed away and she will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to her family and especially Mickey Hesselbach who was her cousin and together worked for many years as our hospitality chairpersons.

Eleanor Kaupp reported on the success of our last month's card party. We have sent out 43 thank-you notes to merchants who were so generous this year contributing prizes. We also thank the many members who worked at the card party and also donated prizes.

After a short business meeting we adjourned for our Christmas social and the "grab bag in the round." Some caroling could be heard and many good holiday wishes followed.

I would like to thank all who made this year a success - members and some husbands. Henry Kaupp, Ted VanDamm and Bill Hesselbach really pitched in when we needed them. The VFW staff who were very cooperative, Carla Cohen, editor of The Franklin Square Bulletin and The Three Village Times who printed our articles. Also, Franklin Square Life wrote us in on their "Coming Up Calendar." They all made it possible for us to continue our community work.
