Beatrice Guzzo, of West Hempstead, died on Oct. 26, 1999. Wife of Baldassar (Barney). Mother of Russ and Joann. Grandmother of Christopher, Gregory and Jessica. Arrangements were made by the Barnes-Sorrentino Funeral Home, West Hempstead. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery. Thomas F. Delaney, 88, of West Hempstead, died on Oct. 26, 1999. He was a retired vice president, Industrial Relations, Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. (1939-1975), former chairman of company bargaining committee and chief labor negotiator and counsel. He attended Brooklyn Preparatory School, Fordham College and Fordham Law School.

Mr. Delaney began his career as an attorney with the US Trucking Corp. and later joined MetLife's law division. He became vice president in charge of industrial relations department in 1969 where he was responsible for handling all labor relations matters for the company. He continued as labor arbitrator, American Arbitration Association, mediator and fact-finder NYS and NC PERBS, member of the Advisory Arbitration Panel-CSEA/NC CBA, chairman NC Public Employment Relations Board, labor relations consultant to the NC chief negotiator, member of the Arbitration Board , NC PBA and SOA, chairman, member of the Conciliation Board, Diocese of Rockville Centre.

Mr. Delaney was a member of the NY Bar, Admitted US Supreme Court., member emeritus Assocation of Life Insurance Counsel, former member of the National Affairs Committee-NY Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Husband of Isabel. Father of Carol and Richard Staszak, Jull Axtheim and Charles Jones, Thomas F. Jr. and Julie Igoe, Paul and Kathy. Grandfather of eight. Great-grandfather of three. Arrangements were made by the Fairchild Chapel, Garden City. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.

William F. Bidell, of Franklin Square, died on Oct. 27, 1999. Husband of the late Vivian. Father of Marian Karcher, William and Thomas. Grandfather of seven. Arrangements were made by the Krauss Funeral Home, Franklin Square. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Sienna RC Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery.
