Franklin Hospital Medical Center's annual holiday lighting ceremony is set for Thursday, Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. in the main lobby of the facility's 120 bed Dr. Edward S. Orzac Geriatric Division at 900 Franklin Avenue in Valley Stream.
The traditional event, a Franklin Auxiliary sponsored project, will again feature a special performance by members of the James A. Dever School's Student Chorus.
"Holiday lights may be purchased for $5 each in honor of, memory of, or recognition of someone special in your life," notes Auxiliary President Freda Rohsiepe of Valley Stream. The names of all donors will be on display in the hospital's main lobby.
Members of the community are invited to join the students and nursing home residents for punch and cookies at the conclusion of the performance and lighting ceremony.
