I wish to thank your readers for the confidence they have placed in me by electing me as Presiding Judge of the Nassau County District Court.

With the cooperation and guidance of Nassau County Administrative Judge Edward McCabe, Supervising Judge Ira Wexner and Trial Assignment Judge Denise Sher, I hope to make the District court a more "user-friendly" court, one in which the litigants and lawyers will receive expeditious, economical and fair justice.

It will be a more "open" court. I urge members of the public, including students and civic association members, to visit the court during day or evening sessions to observe and learn how our judges, arbitrators, mediators, clerks, court officers and other supportive staff service the public. Suggestions for improvement will be appreciated and welcomed.
