Lanzone, MD, formerly of North Valley Stream, died on Aug. 11, 1999. Husband of the late Wanda. Father of Francis J., MD, John A., MD, Theresa C., MD, Joan A. DDS, Wanda J., DMD and Joseph A., MD. Grandfather of 11. Arrangements were made by the Fairchild Chapel, Garden City. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Make A Wish Foundation. Mary J. Romano, formerly of Franklin Square, died on Aug. 11, 1999. Wife of Mario. Mother of Alfred, John and the late Rosemary. Mother-in-law of Alexandra and Sharon. Grandmother of Michael, Anthony, Nicole, John and Michelle. Arrangements were made by the Edward F. Lieber Funeral Home, Valley Stream. Funeral Mass at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church. Cremation private. William J. Scott, of Franklin Square, died recently. He graduated from Sewanhaka High School and NYU Downtown. He retired as a Colonel in the Air Force and was a pilot for IBM. Son of John and the late Dora. Husband of Liz. Brother of Christine Thomas and Loretta Schaier. Father of John and Amy. Grandfather of Ian and Braeden. Cremation private. Vada Berger (Shoemaker), 83, died on Aug. 11, 1999. She was born in Chicago and attended the Art Students League at NY where she became a painter's model. She married artist Alex Berger in 1951. They were members of the Art League of NC, Tri-County Artists, the Suburban Art League and the Village Art Club. She was also a member of the LI Day Lily Society. She was cremated and her ashes will be scattered in her garden with those of her beloved dog Perky.
