Grandfather of Ian and Braeden. Cremation private. Vada Berger (Shoemaker), 83, died on Aug. 11, 1999. She was born in Chicago and attended the Art Students League at NY where she became a painter's model. She married artist Alex Berger in 1951. They were members of the Art League of NC, Tri-County Artists, the Suburban Art League and the Village Art Club. She was also a member of the LI Day Lily Society. She was cremated and her ashes will be scattered in her garden with those of her beloved dog Perky.
