Obituaries
Joseph Forzano, 76, formerly of West Hempstead, died on July 28, 1999. Born in Brooklyn, he served in the Army during WWII and received the Purple Heart. He worked at several jobs including an insurance salesman for Prudential and supervisor for Echo Park Pool and the Town of Hempstead. He retired in 1985. Mr. Forzano coached Big League Little League teams taking his first All-Star team to the World Championship where they placed third. He and the team were honored at Yankee and Shea Stadiums. After moving to West Palm Beach, he served as president of the Palm Club West Condo Association. Husband of Josephine. Father of Richard and Maria Coletti. Grandfather of Mary, Brian, Nicole and Joseph. Great-grandfather of Shawn. Brother of Fay Licari. Arrangements were made by Moloney's Holbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at Good Shepherd RC Church. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Murray Berkley, formerly of West Hemstead, died on July 30, 1999. Father of Adel Altman, Susan MacMongle and Randi Jarislowsky. Grandfather of Illene Brett, Michael, Eric and Richard. Great-grandfather of Brooke, Hunter and Dylan. Mildred F. Hausz, of Franklin Square, died on July 31, 1999. Wife of Edward. Mother of Jane Thorn, Roger and Donald. Sister of Muriel Koenig. Grandmother of Melisssa and Robert Thorn. Arrangements were made by the Krauss Funeral Home, Franklin Square. Religious service. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
