The Carey JV Softball team beat Lynbrook 14-13 in a come from behind win. Heather Resetar recorded nine strikeouts. They all played a very hard game. Erin Brodley hit the game winning double. Congratulations on an exciting finish to a very successful season. The final record is 13-3. The Carey JV baseball team took the first game of its three game series with a 10-9 win over Glen Cove. John Dulberg came in for relief and shut down Glen Cove's offensive attack and Scott Hoseman contributed four runs. Anthony Stancanelli, Chris McMonigle, Michael Del'Aquilla, Craig Berkowitz and Kyle McKeown helped contribute to a well-balanced attack. The Carey Girls Varsity lacrosse team won their last game of the season by defeating South Side 8-7. Jayne Kyriacou scored the winning goal with two minutes left. Lisa Terrasi, Erica Brennan, Shawna Lewis and Beatirz Barrera played great defense. The Carey girls junior high lacrosse team won its second game over Sewanhaka 10-2. Michelle Hughes and Tara Lawlor played excellent defense in goal. Angelica Urban led all scorers with four goals. Also contributing on offense was Nicole Matesich, Laurie Halitzer, Marisa Miracolo, Liz Everson and Ashley Iafrate.
