The Belmont Stakes Fair has returned to Belmont Park Racetrack in Elmont. This year's fair is bigger and better than ever and includes more than 100 spectacular rides, games and free attractions for families to enjoy. The Fair gives families a chance to celebrate spring from Thursday, May 6 to Sunday, May 9.

The spectacular carnival midway will include the amazing 200 ft. Mark I roller coaster, the incredible G-Force ride, Niagara Falls - a huge log flume and the 125 ft. high giant wheel.

There is a free circus parade everyday during the fair and more than 25 free shows daily. Under the Big Top the Circus-With-A-Purpose, known for its focus on fun and education, performs free several times daily.

One attraction that you must see to believe is Randall's Racing and High Diving Pig Show. Different types of pigs race and dive providing exciting and enjoyable entertainment.

The Marionette Star Theater and the Catskills Puppet People will perform each day. Kids can take pony rides and visit the incredible Petting Corral featuring over 60 farm and exotic animals that can be fed and seen up close. Kids can see "Bell," a pony born during the first few days of the fair.

Families can take a step back in time by visiting Frontier Town, featuring pioneering artifacts and authentic Blacksmith Demonstrations.

The always entertaining Backyard Circus, where kids dress up in costumes and "join" the circus is back for its second year. There will be live entertainment each night on the Main Stage. The entertainment will include dancing demonstrations such as country line, hip hop, jazz and ballet dancing from local dance studios. There will also be live performances from favorite local bands.

All special events and entertainment are included with the low $5 admission price. Children under three years of age are admitted free. Sponsored by the New York Racing Association, Belmont Stakes Fair will be held at Belmont Park Racetrack in Elmont, (on the Queens Nassau border) May 6 through May 9. Fair gates open weekdays at 5 p.m. and weekends at noon. Fair goers should enter through gate 5, on the north side of Hempstead Turnpike, just east of the Cross Island Parkway.
