DiNapoli New Leader of Nassau Democrats
At its county convention on April 15, the Nassau Democratic County Committee chose Thomas DiNapoli, member of the New York State Assembly from the 16th Assembly District, as its new chairman. Mr. DiNapoli will fill the unexpired term of Stephen J. Sabbeth whose resignation as chairman went into effect on April 16. DiNapoli, who was the odds-on favorite going into the convention, easily defeated former Oyster Bay Supervisor Louis Yevoli.

Sewanhaka Music Students Play in a
The music department of Sewanhaka High School was invited to participate in the New York State School Music Association sponsored Music In Our Schools Month performance in Albany. On March 23 the Sewanhaka High School Orchestra, directed by Chairperson, Debra O'Connor and the Sewanhaka High School Jazz Ensemble, directed by Jon Michael Lasher traveled to Albany for the performance in the Empire Plaza. The performance was given at noon in the North Concourse of the plaza, adjacent to the State Capitol.
