The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum will host a Public Skate Day to benefit EAC (The Education and Assistance Corporation) on Friday, April 2.
Children and adults will have a chance to skate on the same ice that the New York Islanders and skating champions skate on. There will be seven 45-minute sessions, and each session will cost $4 per person. Everyone who skates will be eligible for a free raffle drawing for merchandise and tickets. Skaters are also asked to bring nonperishable food which will be donated to the EAC Meals-On-Wheels program. All skaters must bring their own skates.
A portion of the proceeds from the Public Skate Day will benefit many EAC programs such as The Nassau and Suffolk County Developmental Learning Programs, Meals-On-Wheels, and Court Appointed Special Advocates Program (CASA).
The skating sessions are:
Skate Session #1: 8:30 to 9:15 a.m.
Skate Session #2: 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.
