The Elmont Public Schools invites the community to attend any of the remaining Bond Referendum Public Hearings:
Sunday, March 7, Elmont Road School, 2:30 to 4 p.m.
Wednesday, March 10, Gotham Avenue School, 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Thursday, March 11, Stewart Manor School, 7:30 to 9 p.m.
In order to vote on the March 18 bond referendum, you must be a United States citizen 18 years of age or older, and a district resident for at least 30 days prior to the vote.
You need not register if:
You voted in a general election in Nassau County or if you voted in an Elmont School District election during the last four years.
You have registered with the board of election of Nassau County or if you have registered with the Elmont School District within the last four years.
Note that if you are a new resident and last registered or voted in a county other than Nassau, you must register. Residents may register on any school day during school hours until March 11. A special evening session for registration will be held on Thursday, March 11 at the Elmont Road School from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Voting will take place on Thursday, March 18, between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., at all seven school buildings. Absentee Ballots are available in the office of the district clerk at the Elmont Road Administration Building. You may either call or come in if you will be out of town and unable to vote in person on March 18.
