I would like to thank all of you who took the time to get out and vote on Election Day. I am honored and proud to be returning to Albany to serve as your representative in the New York State Senate.

I have had the privilege to personally meet many of you throughout the year, and I welcome your continued suggestions as I begin my second term. My first year in office presented many challenges and opportunities. While the 1998 legislative session produced many solutions, more work needs to be done. My priorities for 1999 include working for a law which would make stalking a crime; eliminating tolls on our bridges on holidays; and eliminating lawsuits by convicted felons who sue their victims.

As we approach the end of 1998, I want to wish you a very joyous holiday season. From my family to yours, a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

Michael A. L. Balboni

State Senator
