The Floral Park Knights of Columbus pin-spillers continued to tumble the timber in their usual outstanding fashion -- the trademark of anything undertaken by Good Ol' Council 2345.

"Knobby" Gregory, in his quest for the top rung of the High Average ladder, cranked out a 224 solo that led to a nifty 588 trio, giving him the Hotshot crown, a step ahead of a Tommy Moore 577 set that had a 228 beauty in its make-up. Chet Straepek banged out a 219 loner to build a 574 set, chased by Bob Sheehan's 200 game, 567 total for his night's work, while John Bartow was making his presence felt, with a 222 game, 562 series. Richie Biggin posted a solid 557, edging Bob Mashburn's 214 solo, 556 trio, a step up on John O'Grady's 534 and a Paul Simonetti 531. Eddy Hackimer got in the act with a 528 while Mike Derby was there, at 523 and Jim Kearney "leftied" a 200 single, on the way to a 520 triple. Pat Sweeney spilled 510 hunks of lumber and Joe Oswald made the Elites with a 205.

Team action saw John Bartow lead his BOSS outfit to a 5-2 downing of Eddy Goodoe's Four while The Whaco 2 combine, minus Capt. Pat Murphy, dropped a 4-3 verdict to Joe Oswald and his Lugerites. The Mr. C.P. four, with Mike Honan calling signals, squeezed past the Starr Reporters, bossed by Pat Sweeney, via a 4-3 count while the John O'Grady-led Regals were whitewashing Tommy Moore's Pallbearers, in a 7-0 rout. The Good Guys, with Bob Mashburn in the driver's seat, did a 5-2 number on the Dead Wood four, led by Eddy Hackimer -- who is anything but -- ending the night's Brotherly Bombardment.
