Igni Walles, 79, of Elmont, died on Aug. 24, 1998. Born in Elizabeth, PA, he grew up in Lithuania. He returned to the US at age 22 and served in the Army during WWII as an engineer. He worked for Pfizer Inc. as a chemical plant supervisor. Husband of Evelyn. Father of Ellen Nelson of West Hempstead, Kenneth of East Meadow and John of Levittown. Grandfather of four. Also survived by a brother, sister and four nephews. Services were held at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. Emily E. Gauvreau DeLackner Waller, formerly of Franklin Square, died on Aug. 26, 1998. Wife of the late Gordon W. DeLackner and the late Harry Waller. Mother of Doris Serina and the late Laura Leavy. Sister of Germaine and Andrew DeFeo. Mother-in-law of Robert Leavy. Grandmother of Laura Ann Brown Crocker, Gordon and Kathy Brown, Nora and Mark Pilar, Chris Leavy, Kate Leavy and Timothy Leavy. Great-grandmother of Matthew, Sara and Andrew Pilar. Arrangements were made by the A.L. Jacobsen Funeral Home, Huntington Station. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth's RC Church. Interment Greenfield Cemetery.
