Nassau County Legislature Presiding Officer Bruce A. Blakeman, center, presented a Nassau County Legislative Citation to Big Brother Executive Director William Tymann, right, and a Certificate of Recognition to Big Sister Volunteer Karen McKenna, left, for their dedication and commitment to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Long Island. Tymann and McKenna met with Presiding Officer Blakeman prior to a meeting of the Nassau County Legislature in which they addressed members of the legislature about the organization and their involvement. Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Long Island is a private, not-for-profit organization whose goal is to find a suitable volunteer for each child who has need for one.
