Alex Calick doubled and drove in three runs to lead John Victoria's Athletics (Greenpoint Savings) to a 9-8 victory over Don Henne's Orioles (Bruno DeVito Landscaping). Catcher Michael Bento chipped in with a single for the A's while Jim Varvaro and Tim Trezza provided solid fielding efforts for the O's. Mackenzie Tray, Nick Lofaso and Joe Amitrano all played well.

The A's also played Tom Sarrapede's Cardinals (Sarrapede Family) and dropped a 14-4 decision. The A's received good performances from: Matt Metz, home run; pitcher Greg Bosch, double; Dan Finneran, catcher; and Brian DeStefano, who put in an excellent effort in the field.

Leo Hill's Pirates (Turnpike Cleaners) stopped Steve Diverniero's Dodgers (Bagel Craft) 9-3. For the Dodgers, Colin Dickinson singled. Kevin Walsh was spectacular on the mound, Charlie Perry was great in the field and Ryan Beard had a good all around game.

Frank Teta's Astros (Barnes & Sorrentino) beat the Orioles 5-2 as Matt Ernst, Peter Giordano and Ed Moran all had key hits while Anthony Teta provided solid relief pitcher.
