Patrick F. Dawson, 64, died on May 9, 1998. Born in Brooklyn, he was raised in Elmont and graduated from Sewanhaka High School. He served in the Army and received the Good Conduct Medal during the Korean War. He earned his teaching degree in Kentucky and taught for a short time. He moved to Bayville and worked at Thomson Industries in Port Washington. He served as a lacrosse official for the NCAA on Long Island. Husband of Susan (Roland). Father of Kevin Dawson of Bayville and Michael William Barbino of New Port Richey, FL. Brother of Douglas, Dennis, Jacqueline Lawless of Elmont, April Riley, Gail Smith and Maureen Messner. Grandfather of two. Service at Our Lady Queen of Peace RC Church. Interment Florida National Cemetery.
