In a closely fought game, Tom Englander's Sioux (Rampart Brokerage) defeated Frank Connolly's Aztec (Gino's Pizza) by a score of 2-1. For the Sioux, Eric Gallipoli and Michael Englander each scored a goal. Eric Plesnitzer put one into the net for the Aztec.

Ed Colosuono's Inca (Greve, Schmidt & Trageser) defeated Tom Englander's Sioux (Rampart Brokerage) by a score of 5-0. For the Inca, Verlaine Brunot, Michael Colosuono and Matt Greve provided the goals. Daniel Yadin and Chris Banoub had terrific offensive games and Evan Palamara was solid in goal.

Mike Indovinos' Kiowa (Dr. Smollon, DDS) played Mike Garones' Oneida (Dr. Werblin & Dr. Meskin) to a 2-2 tie. For the Kiowa, Katie Johansen scored. For the Oneida, goals were scored by Danneille Scovazzo and Michelle Bozzi, and Kimberly Foley played strong at the sweeper position. Amanda Schartz and Alicean Marciano split the duties of goal.

Steve Ernst's Apache (Vinnie's Clam Bar) played Mike Indovinos Kiowa (Dr. Smollon, DDS) to a 3-2 win. For the Apache, goals were scored by Lauren Ernst, Alanna Rodriquez and Jessica Samms. Excellent play at midfield by Daniel Marissi and Christine Meyers. Good all-around play by Rachel Monroe and April Eggins. For the Kiowa, Ashley Schriefer and Angela Troia found the back of the net. Strong midfield play was provided by Christine Macchio.

Week two of the soccer season brought beautiful spring weather. Vito Cassatas' Hurons (McKeon Electric) battled Don Lucas' Shawnee (Mutual Engraving Co.). For the Huron, Richie Flowers scored two goals. Ryan Skoulatis played outstanding in goal and great all-around play by Joey Tamburello and Nick Squiciarino. For the Shawnee, Edward Inzarry, Eric Lucas, Matthew McCue, Eduardo Ramirez and Christopher Scheel all turned in a good game.

On a perfect spring morning for soccer Anthony Coker's Cherokees (Coral House) played Tony Lofasos' Algonquins (Eye Deal Optical) in a tough match. For the Cherokee, Justin Armstrong played very well for his first ever game. Greg Schultz and Michael Turkowitz played excellent in defense and Erik Velasquez put in two goals. For the Algonquins, excellent overall team play by Kevin D'Angelo and Sean O'Donohue with a goal scored. Good effort from Geaorge Digiovanni and Joseph Scarcia, also Alex Fernandex protecting the goal.

Paul Dougans' Oneida (Pet Supplies Plus) played Anthony Scovazzos' Kiowa (Bagelcraft). For the Oneida, Christopher St. Amand and Anthony Ortiz scored. Michael Dougan and John Dugal played an excellent overall game. For the Kiowa, the offense was provided by Jonathan Appel, Chris Lynch and Michael Barhold. Michael Cuppolo, Matt Ernst and Anthony Mongelluzzo provided a strong defense.

Saturday's first game was Kelly DeLace's Inca (B & O. Furniture Co.) against Scott Banks' Shoshone (Joseph A. Lister, Inc.) For the Shoshone, Elizabeth Pica scored with an assist from Lauren Hamil. Gina Peterson and Jessica Nealon were excellent in defense.

The second game was Toni Ann Centrealla's Pawnee (Farmdale Farms) against Glen Boehmer's Shawnee (Sentinel Printing Co.). For the Pawnee, Jane Cuzco, a new player, had a great game. Victoria Centrella scored while Crystal Cagno and Maria Zieher played great in offense. Shari Olarte was excellent in defense and Jennifer Snyder was outstanding at keeper. For the Shawnee, Tiffany Frank scored from a beautiful pass from Xenia Reyes. Stefanie DiGregorio scored on a super ran. Melanie Boehmer and Jeana Hockenjos combined for many near misses during the third quarter.

On Sunday's first game, Regina Todd's Kickapoo (Ark Realtors) played Kelly DeLace's Inca ((B & O. Furniture Co.) The Kickapoo would like to welcome two new players, Rebecca Boettcher and Deja Canolano. Bridget Todd scored Jillian Carucci and Melainda DiGivovanna had a great all-around game. For the Incas, Rosemary Castillo, Stephanie Dawber, Jessica DeLace and Colleen Hawley played well overall.

Scott Bank's Shoshone (Joseph A. Lister, Inc.) played against Glen Boehmer's Shawnee (Sentinel Printing Co.) For the Shoshone, Jaime Chadderton scored. While Jennifer Banks provided great offensive. Jeanna D'Alesandro had an exzcellent all-around game. For the Shawnee, Natalie Romano and Madeline Prush played a strong game. Stefanie DiGregorio saved a goal and Kristin Keanna had a great goal.

DeStefano's Zuni played Hugel's Pawnee. For the Zuni, playing well for the defense were Matthew Culley and Robert Carson. Doing a good job in goal was Thomas Scheel. For the Pawnee, a strong offensive game with goals scored by Michael Divemiero and Danny Niebler with support from Matt Dougan and Matt Glickman. Good play all-around game by Matt Turner and Danny Lazo.

Bill DeLace's Kickapoo (Palm Cafe) played Ed Flower's Chickashaw (GumYing). For the Chickshaw, Kellie Monroe scored assisted by Gina Flower. Sparking the offense was Nicole Modica. Jen Johensen had all-around hustle. Good performance by Chris Haines, Sara Port and Chris Grecco. Good in goal were Laura Olarte and Meghan Brendon.
