Virginia M. Kleffmann, of West Hempstead, died on Feb. 13, 1998. Wife of the late Frederick. Mother of Marilyn Dorst and Kevin Kleffmann. Grandmother of Kristian Scott, Daniel Ross and Jennifer Kate Kleffmann. Arrangements were made by the Flinch and Bruns Funeral Home, Lynbrook. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. Marie M. Mathison, of West Hempstead, died on Feb. 15, 1998. Born in NYC she was employed by NYNEX. She was a member of the Rosary Society and involved with the Bishop's Annual Appeal at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. She was also a member of the Echo Park Senior Citizens, Trinity Lutheran Church Senior Citizens, a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Wife of the late Harry. Mother of Karen. Aunt of Marie Kendrick and Bernard and Walter Uebel. Arrangements were made by the Barnes-Sorrentino Funeral Home, West Hempstead. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. Donations can be made, in Marie Mathison's memory, to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 24 Westminster Rd., W. Hempstead, NY 11552 or the Community Hospice of Albany County, 315 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 11208.
