The Elmont Board of Education will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dutch Broadway School. The agenda calls for the board to immediately adjourn and conduct the opening portion of the meeting in executive session to discuss particular personnel matters and matters within the attorney-client relationship. The public portion of the meeting will begin at 7:30 with a winter concert. The regular meeting will follow. The Elmont Board of Education will hold a board curriculum committee meeting on Thursday, Jan. 8 at the Elmont Road School at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited. An important phase in the budget-making process in the Valley Stream High School District, the Board of Education's tour of the four high school buildings accompanied by PTA and community members, has been postponed. The new date is Jan. 10 at 8 a.m. at South High School. The regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Sewanhaka Central High School District will take place at Sewanhaka High School, 500 Tulip Ave., Floral Park, on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. Public session will begin at 8 p.m. There will be curriculum presentations regarding updates on changes in physical education/athletics and vocational/technology. A meeting of the shared decision making committee will be held at the Gotham Avenue School on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 2:45 p.m. There will be a meeting of the Covert Avenue School building advisory committee on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 4:15 p.m. in the school library.
