The girls’ varsity tennis team at Syosset High School brought in another impressive win for the season, its fourth consecutive Long Island Championship win. The team defeated Half Hollow Hills East 7-0 during the Thursday, Nov. 15 game.

On the road to the Long Island Championship, the team earned their fourth consecutive Nassau County Championship by beating No. 2 Port Washington (12-4) in the title match for the second straight season on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
During the Long Island Championship on Nov. 15, Vivian Cheng led the girls in first singles, defeating Vanessa Scott 6-1, 6-3. Rithinka Reddy took the second singles position, winning in a third set tie-breaking match against Allison Huber. Sweeping the sets in the final five matches, from third and fourth singles to all three doubles positions, exemplified the dominance of Syosset (17-0).
