Everyone who is planning to participate in the Long Island Marathon, Half Marathon or 10 Kilometer Run on Sunday, May 6 is invited to attend the “Pre-Long Island Marathon RunSmart Clinic” on Thursday evening, April 26. Admission is free.
The clinic will be held in the auditorium of the Bethpage Public Library, 47 Powell Avenue in Bethpage, starting promptly at 7 p.m.
Head coach and coordinator of the RunSmart Program Deborah Blair will lead the clinic, co-sponsored by Nassau County and the Greater Long Island Running Club. Long Island Marathon Medical Director Dr. Edward Fryman, Coach Joe Picini, and Bob Cook of the Runner’s Edge will also be helping to present the clinic.
“We urge everyone who is looking to run their best possible 10 Kilometer Run, Half Marathon or Full Marathon on May 6 and to do so injury-free, to take advantage of this opportunity,” said. Blair. “This will be a couple of hours well spent.”
