Syosset Girls U9 Takes Major White Division Title

The Syosset Girls U9 soccer team continued its winning ways by taking first place at the Syosset-Columbus Day tournament. The girls battled teams from East Meadow, Rockville Centre and Scarsdale, outscoring their opponents without letting up a goal. The defense was led by Kendall Halpern, Nicole Fanelli, and Julia Sobel. Strong offensive play came from Nicole Barkoff, Gabi Wood, Sally Hooey, Stephanie Wiener, Maya Croce, Eli Ruggiero, Carrie Ruggiero. Great goaltending was played by Claire Galante.
