Last Friday, nearly 140 girls in the Jericho Athletic Association softball program wore their uniform tops to school to show their team pride. Girls from kindergarten through seventh grade participated in this annual tradition at all three elementary schools and Jericho Middle School.

It’s “watch the birdie” time for girls playing in SYAC Girls Softball this spring. The first of two Photo Nights was held at Syosset-Woodbury Park. Instructional (K-1) and Senior (6-9) Leagues assembled by team on May 10. Pony (2-3) and Junior (4-5) Leagues will have team photos taken on Monday evening, May 17. This Mother’s Day, the first and second grade boy’s red team hosted Port Washington for their third game of the season. Players Nicolas Accardo, AJ Alexander, Logan Farrell, Josh Novick, Alexander Davis, Victor Di Re, Michael Forte, Sam Jaffee, Johnny Maccarone, Nicholas Andersen, Rajat Shah, Maanuv Allu, and Kent Sato stepped on the field and played strong the entire game. The game ended in an 8-8 tie, with good play from both teams. The boys all demonstrated great teamwork and enthusiasm for the game supporting their 2-0-1 record.
The Rough Riders, Long Island’s premier soccer franchise located in Plainview, is proud to announce an official partnership with West Ham United International Academy.
The Rough Riders will be the exclusive affiliate for West Ham United on Long Island. The partnership initially entails player identification and developmental at the youth level.
Syosset Baseball Association ceremoniously opened its 56th year of intramural baseball on Wednesday, April 10 with one opening day game.
The game, planned at the end of last intramural season to have an official opening day, was carved out with the two championship teams from the Major League Division championship game from last year: TJM Consulting, managed by Tony Maracic vs. Island Orthodontics, managed by Lou Del Maestro.
