Each of the girls routinely attended weekly practices over the five-month season, improving their skills and growing as individual players and as a team as whole. The championship game, which took place on Wednesday, March 23, was a great match-up against second place “Team Dream,” coached by Evan Friedman. At the end of regulation time, both teams had done such a tremendous job on defense that the score was tied at 14-14. In the end, the Shock scored one last basket in overtime and held off Team Dream for a final score at the buzzer of 16-14.
