In this year’s Syosset Central School District Board of Education elections the community is fortunate to have someone running who is one of the finest candidates to come along in many years. He’s William Weiner and he deserves your support at the ballot on Tuesday, May 21.
I’ve known Bill Weiner for almost 10 years and for the past several have had the opportunity to work with Bill while he served as President of the East Birchwood Civic Association, one of the largest civic organizations on Long Island. During that time, Bill has successfully dealt with a myriad of issues and has been instrumental in supporting the ongoing fight against the proposed mall on the former Cerro Wire property on Robbins Lane, a position I know he will maintain going forward.
Bill’s service on behalf of the East Birchwood Civic Association goes beyond his current role as president and includes chairing the organization’s Syosset education committee since 2007. In that capacity, Bill regularly attends Syosset school board meetings and serves as a liaison between the two entities. In his profession, Bill’s job as a senior technology manager with Standard & Poor’s has provided him with additional experience that will prove to be a major asset in representing the community’s interests on the Syosset School Board, particularly in the areas of budgetary practices, contracts, financial data and analytical matters.
As a long time resident and civic leader in the Town of Oyster Bay, I’ve interfaced with hundreds of civic and community leaders and would easily include Bill among the top individuals on that list. Bill is honest, hard-working, committed and a true man of integrity.
Please vote for William Weiner for Syosset School Board. I can assure you, Bill is ready, willing and able to handle the job with your support. You’ll find his name last on the ballot, but first among the candidates running in this year’s election.
