We truly live in a wonderful community, filled with so much activity and so many community-minded people, and our Farmers’ Markets are no exception. Each weekend from now until well into the fall, one can find organic, locally grown produce, as well as crafts and gifts whether you visit Bayville, Locust Valley, Glen Cove, or Old Westbury. We are surrounded by local farms, as well as people who make and sell handmade crafts and other sundries, so be sure to visit:
Bayville’s Green Market is open from 8:30 a.m. until noon each Saturday in the Bayville Commons on Ludlam Avenue and Bayville Avenue.
Locust Valley’s Farmer’s Market is open from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. each Saturday in the parking lot across the street from the Post Office on Weir Lane and Forest Avenue.
Glen Cove’s Village Square Farmer’s Market is one of the newer markets in our community. This market is open from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. every Sunday until November and is located in the Village Square.
Kioli Flea & Farmer’s Market has just opened on the grounds of SUNY College at Old Westbury. This market is being held on Saturdays from 11 a.m until 5 p.m., as well as Sundays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
And, if you happen to be in the Mineola/ Garden City area on a Tuesday now through November, stop by Nassau County’s Healthy Nassau Farmer’s Market at 101 County Seat Drive from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
I hope to see you at the markets!
