The newly redesigned Syosset Chamber of Commerce website is on its way to becoming Syosset-Woodbury’s premier resource for information about the people, businesses, and events that keep our community on the move.
SyossetChamber.com is designed not only as a tool for Chamber members, but as a one-stop reference guide for Syosset-Woodbury residents. The site features a list of local providers in almost every category - from medical doctors to pizza parlors – as well as links to up-to-the-minute weather, traffic, and school closing reports, local events calendars, and news from Syosset-Woodbury’s various community organizations.
For Chamber members, the site includes a number of opportunities to get acquainted with the community and to network with other members. There’s also an online Syosset Merchants Forum and handy links to IRS & NYS Taxation & Finance informational websites. In the coming weeks, SyossetChamber.com will introduce an inside guide to getting around town during the upcoming Jackson Avenue Reconstruction Project, with important road closing information, detour suggestions, and commentary by Nassau County officials.
For a limited time, visitors to www.SyossetChamber.com can obtain a free download of Steel Rails Through The Pines: The First 150 Years of the Syosset Train Station, an illustrated 36-page “e-Book” that tells the story of the LIRR in Syosset from 1854 to 2004. In addition, local history enthusiasts – and those who are just curious - can enjoy browsing old time advertisements from Syosset businesses dating back to the 1880’s.
The Syosset Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1998, is dedicated to promoting local business for the betterment of our community. Be sure to bookmark SyossetChamber.com to stay informed about the Chamber’s annual Street Fair, Movie Night, Holiday Lighting Spectacular, and other popular events throughout the year.
