Woodbury resident Maseih Moghaddassi, MD, has been appointed Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology at Winthrop-University Hospital. Dr. Moghaddassi, a long-time and esteemed member of the Hospital’s medical staff, is charged with leading the Division of Otolaryngology in its ongoing endeavors to uphold clinical excellence.
“We have some of the finest otolaryngology surgeons – many of whom are fellowship trained in their subspecialty – on staff at Winthrop,” said Dr. Moghaddassi. “I am pleased to the lead the Division as we extend our services to meet the growing needs of our community.”
Dr. Moghaddassi has a stellar reputation among both the professional and lay community. A member of the Winthrop medical staff and in private practice since 1997, Dr. Moghaddassi’s clinical and surgical interests focus on head and neck tumors as well as endoscopic sinus surgery.
A Diplomat of the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery, Dr. Moghaddassi obtained his Medical Degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1992. He then went on to complete a residency in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Moghaddassi is a Fellow of American and International College of Surgeons.
