Sleepy Hollow Trip

The legend began nearly 200 years ago when Washington Irving wrote about the beautiful valley along the shores of the Hudson River. This trip, just 30 miles outside of NYC, will visit the Old Dutch Church and Burying Ground where Ichabod Crane had sequestered himself from the Headless Horseman in the short story. You’ll also see the burial sites of Irving, Andrew Carnegie, Walter Chrysler, William Rockefeller, Elizabeth Arden and many others, as well as panoramic and scenic vistas of the Hudson River and the Palisades Mountain Range. Lunch will be at the Bridge View Tavern, followed by a trip to Sunnyside, the home of Irving.
