Is one of Midway Jewish Center’s (330 South Oyster Bay Rd., Syosset) fine Adult Education programs, though it doesn’t quite feel like one. The program is open to the public. The screenings include a review of the movie from the perspective of Jewish spirituality and/or ethics. All films are shown with English subtitles for anyone with listening challenges. Movie: Last Days. Five Jewish Hungarians, now U.S. citizens, tell their stories: before March, 1944, when Nazis began to exterminate Hungarian Jews, months in concentration camps, and visiting childhood homes more than 50 years later. Temple Chaverim, 1050 Washington Ave., Plainview, is hosting a Casino Night from 8 p.m. to midnight. Event Kings/Casino Kings will operate the casino tables that will include blackjack, roulette, craps, a money wheel, slot machines and Texas hold’em.
