The West Jericho Civic Association neighborhood potluck will be held in the park bordering Hillary, Mindy and Bruce. Many residents are bringing their food specialties (BBQ, chili, cheese cake, Indian curry, South Indian rice cakes, Chinese and Korean specialties, etc., are expected). Summer Vacation Bible School 2009 Camp

EDGE (Experience+Discover God Everywhere!) at the Woodbury United Methodist Church, 577 Woodbury Rd., Woodbury. Vacation Bible School

Mercy League Trip

Renault Winery and overnight at Atlantic City’s Resorts Casino. The Glen Cove, Hicksville, Syosset Mercy League is going on Aug. 11 and 12 on this fun overnight. The trip includes a tour of the Renault Winery with luncheon, dancing and open bar at the winery. The on to Resorts Casino for the overnight stay.
