Jericho Superintendent of Schools Hank Grishman (L) recently announced the establishment of a scholarship fund to honor Jack Schnitt, the retiring president of the Jericho Athletic Association.

Jack Schnitt, a longtime Jericho community member, recently announced his retirement as president of the Jericho Athletic Association after fourteen years. In recognition of his outstanding service to the many children and families in the community, a group of Jericho administrators and members of the Board of Education have established a scholarship fund in his name. "Jack has served as an outstanding role model for the children and parents in our community," explained Hank Grishman, Jericho Superintendent of Schools. "He exemplifies character, leadership and service. Jack always looks to bring people together to work and live in harmony. We are pleased to establish a scholarship in his name to thank him for the many ways he has made Jericho a better community."
