Craig Pinto, a 1996 graduate of Jericho High School, will be playing football for the New Jersey Revolution, a charter member of the Continental Indoor Football League.
Pinto, a kicker, was named to the team after completing a tryout that involved completing the 40 yard dash, 20 yard pro shuttle, as well as agility and one-on-one drills.
Pinto remembers his years at Jericho fondly. "Playing for Jericho was fun," he said. Pinto also played football for Hofstra University.
After Hofstra, he went on to play for a minor league football team, which he said was a great experience and helped him prepare to play for the Revolution.
"This is the real deal and I am very excited," said Pinto. "We travel and there are great fans. It is exciting."
The team, which is entering their fourth professional season, is a professional indoor football team based in Morristown, NJ. They play a road schedule and travel throughout the east coast.
