The homicide squad is still investigating a shooting that occurred on Jan. 23, 2007 in Syosset.

According to detectives, at 3:10 p.m., 2nd Precinct Police Officers and an ambulance were dispatched to a call for a person not breathing on Doone Drive inSyosset. The call was placed by a neighbor after the two sons, ages 12 and 13, of the homeowners entered their house to find their parents the unresponsive victims of apparent gunshots. The victims are husband and wife Jaspal and Geeta Singh, ages 46 and 38, respectively.

The youths were placed in the care and custody of relatives. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
