Nassau County Comptroller Howard Weitzman joined other elected officials at the groundbreaking ceremony to honor Jeffery Mosenson by dedicating the Jeffrey Mosenson Trauma and Emergency Medicine Training Center at the Nassau University Medical Center. The Mosenson Family desired to perpetuate their late son Jeffrey's name, by honoring him with a lasting tribute and by raising funds for a training center for first responders. This event signals an unprecedented joint private and public venture, to establish a new home for the Nassau County Fire, Police and EMS Academy, the only municipal EMS training academy in Nassau County, dedicated to all segments of the EMS provider community.
